A light 4.5 Magnitude earthquake occurred this morning in southwest Utah. Ordinarily, an earthquake of this size and distance would not show very well on my seismograph but this one shows a nice return after bandpass filtering using the AmaSeis software. This earthquake was in the desert area that my brothers and I drove through a couple of years ago between Caliente, NV and Hanksville, UT.
